Position Title: System Analyst
Location: Bangalore, India
Position Purpose
System Analyst will act as a liaison between Business team and system development team in understanding business, gathering requirements, Create Functional/Technical Specification, Work with developers/QA during design, development and testing during SDLC of Applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate with the various business units to gather and document requirements and identify potential requirements and business impact
- Communicate progress on Analysis, development and testing.
- Plan and conduct research of business processes and systems with various business units, departments or groups
- Communicate/collaborate with business, development teams and other related groups in system development and support activities.
- Develop/Review test plans
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
- Analyze legacy data for Data Migration
- Analyze and provide inputs to the Business intelligence team to leverage the data for Business specific Reports
- Ensure that any new software integration into systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
- Training the end users.
Experience Required (years & overall competencies):
- Must have hands on experience in analyzing business requirements, preparing requirements document.
- Provide assistance to the Project Team members in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures based on Business needs.
- Create/Update requirements, technical documents, wire-frames, and prototypes
- Create Technical Specification Documentation
- Participate in design reviews
- Work with developers during design, development and testing
- Requirement traceability
- Use case management
Experience Preferred:
- Outsourced/offshore application development
- Strong knowledge of Office products, Wireframes and UML
- Knowledge analyzing support activities preferred.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Technology Skills:
- Visio, UML and document management tools, Basic SQL and RDMS.
Preferred Technology Skills:
- Prior development experience if any is preferred
- Enterprise architecture
Education & Certifications (required or preferred):
- Graduation in IT/Computer science with sound analysis experience.
- MBA in finance/Operations/IT (Preferred)
Business Analyst
